In this basic course, participants will learn an overview of the commonly used cost analysis methods in economic evaluation of healthcare, basic indicators, methods, analysis processes and presentation of cost-effectiveness research.

The objectives of the course include:

  • Identifying the evaluation method and scope
  • Understanding the overview and role of cost-effectiveness analysis
  • Learning the cost-effectiveness analysis methods
  • Understanding the basic indicators in cost-effectiveness analysis
  • Understanding the analysis process and presentation of cost-effectiveness research

In this applied course, participants will learn an overview of models, model parameters, and data collection, model building, and uncertainty analysis techniques for economic evaluation of pharmaceutical interventions.

The objectives of the course include:

  • Understanding the overview of models and the classification of commonly used models
  • Reading and understanding model parameters
  • Distinguishing between economic data collection techniques for pharmaceutical interventions
  • Building different types of economic models for pharmaceutical interventions (decision tree models, Markov models)
  • Analyzing uncertainty of models
